If you are a non US ship owner or shipping company and your vessel is going to work offshore in US waters your crew must be API RP 2D qualified or you may face the risk of huge fines and penalties if there is an accident or injury. Rigging practice and banksman signals used in the US are not the same as those used in Europe and Scandinavia. Your deck crew need to be aware, properly trained and certificated.
